Fun... but HOT!
With the excitement you see from Tommy in the blog heading picture, our August adventure took us to Mill Creek Park. This truly is a beautiful park, and we had a wonderful time.
Our daughter and her husband were able to join us as well as Heaths dad. Tommy really enjoyed being with them. They swam and played a few games. Tommy especially enjoyed playing BINGO! It was great to see him interacting with both of them. He still misses his sister since she has just gotten married. Even though they are 9 years apart, they have a special bond. Tommy has always lit up when Kahlyn would walk in to the room. They did not do a lot together when she was at home, but he knew she was there - and to him that is just how it was!
Park Reviews
The park was very affordable and had great amenities. From swim beach to playground and a nice but busy boat ramp. Our spot #102 was on the water and close to the ramp. Nothing is better than the wind off the water and early morning coffee! Heath and I would enjoy this time together and also enjoyed watching the boats launch. I told him is was like sitting at an air strip. Just one boat right after the other!! LOL
Our site had electricity and water connections. No sewer connection at site; although, the park had a dump station with easy access. “The Stump” on 255 was a great place to stop and eat and restaurant was clean!
Lake Sam Rayburn is a fun and beautiful if you are in the area. There are many parks around the lake. Tent, RV spots available and some parks offer cabin rentals. I hope to do some future reviews on many of them! Thanks for following along. Check out my newest Autism blog for a sweet story about Kindred Spirits!
