Christmas Coming...
Not much to report this week! We have a few trips scheduled for the upcoming months. One for Thanksgiving and the other in March, so I guess we are just chillin’ at the moment. Honestly, the only thing on Tommy’s mind is Christmas. Every day we are reminded that “Christmas is coming!”
The world seems to be in need of some Christmas cheer as many are decorating early. Even tonight as we were coming in from church, we look ahead as we turn on our road and see a yard that is in full Christmas display! I slowed to let Tommy take it all in:)
Mom has been sick some this week and Tommy and Heath hung out a couple of days! When Tommy is at home, he is pretty much just ‘doing his own thing!’ Heath was outside and noticed that Tommy came in the garage. He turned his body into a contortionist in order to get to where the Christmas cabinet is located. He watched me help him reach his “Mike Lozowski” Christmas blow up last week and was able to do the same thing. Where there is a will, there is a way! And Tommy definitely has a will when it comes to Christmas and decorations!
This time he helped himself to “Snoopy” and “The Grinch” blow ups! He gathered them in his hands then turned and saw Heath. He started ‘high stepping it’ towards the house in order not to be stopped! Heath said, “What are you doing?” Tommy hollered back at him “Nothing” and never slowed down!
Needless to say, his bedroom is growing very festive! You can’t help but laugh and smile. I mean other than the fact that we have not eaten turkey yet, It’s really not a problem! LOL
When we return from our trip, I want to be able to enjoy my tree immediately, so I plan to set it up before we leave. Shhh… don’t tell Heath:) LOL
I enjoy the peaceful feeling of just sitting and looking at the lights. I loved it when Tommy decorated his year-round tree for all seasons. We may have to start that again! Our traditions of camping somewhere for Thanksgiving are becoming an annual thing, so early decorations are just part of it, right?!
Christmas will come and go with a blink of the eye, so whatever your traditions are, enjoy them! Being with friends and family making memories is priceless.
Be Grateful, Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! - God Bless
