Live And Learn With Experiences
What a fun, yet challenging weekend on our Edna, Texas Trip. I can definitely tell a difference in a relaxed RV getaway and a hotel stay. When we got home Tommy seemed wired… All he wanted to do was eat. He was stemming and pacing the floors.
Food Challenges
There is not much variety in Tommy’s diet. I believe that because I could not cook those particular foods, that he was “HANGRY”!! LOL He did eat, so he wasn’t hungry but maybe just not satisfied. We needed our “Freedom”!
Not sure if you have diet restrictions or a child that has created their own picky pallet, but it is a struggle for us. There are a total of about 13 items that Tommy will eat, period! its frustrating because before Autism set in, he ate everything. My views on Tommy’s Autism setting in or developing can be somewhat of a debate, so I wont go into that - at least not right now!!
Feel free to email me with success stories on picky eaters. Would love to try new things and pass along results and helpful strategies to other interested readers.
Memories
Last week following our Palestine Trip, Tommy came home with memories. I am able to confirm that because of the reenacting of the rodeo events we attended. This weekend the schedule of events I guess were a little more stressful. I still believe that getting him out and subjecting him to new things will still be beneficial to his future.
God Bless -
