Long awaited next adventure
Still living this “Covid” life, we never could get our next adventure on the calendar. I was ready to resort to a day trip, a trip to the park or an outdoor picnic - anything to break the monotonous!
New Years was approaching and somehow the past few years we have been ending up at the beach! I did some research for RV resorts and found this rather new place in Bolivar Peninsula. It is quiet and off the beaten path. Small and clean between the “bay” and the “beach”. They have approximately 24 concrete spaces. There is a look out area with great views of the surroundings including the light house!
The weather was a little chilly and a lot breezy this time of the year, but this made great campfire weather! A relaxing get away was much needed from our “cooped-up” status that we were living. As we all know 2020 was so unpredictable. My full time job/company was running things differently. A few of us in the office keeping the paperwork flowing, while the rest were working from home.
If you are looking for a spot to relax, check out Bay Palms RV Resort. They have a Facebook page with information and other reviews. The managers are wonderful and very accommodating. Here are a few pictures from our time there and the surrounding views. There is always fun on Galveston Island. The Pleasure Pier for entertaining, The Strand for some unique shopping and Moody Gardens if you and your children enjoy wild life and other activities. The cuisine choices are endless so enjoy your time there! From day trips to overnight stays, get out with your kids. Observe the restrictions if your out during Covid to keep your family safe.
God Bless -
